NEW COMIC OPERA COMPANY
COMING TO AVEELINGTON THIS MONTH. Air. Bert Royle, representative in New Zealand for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., has been advised that the Now Comic Opera Company, headed by Miss Maud Fane, will commence a tour of New Zealand in about a fortnight, playing the newest musical comedies. “Reave it to Jane” and "Whirled Into Happiness,” which were produced with great success in Melbourne and Sydney last year. As the dramatic season of Air. Guy Bales Post commences at the Grand Opera House at the end .of the month, only one of these pieces will be produced during tho first season of eight nights, but later, on the return of the company from (he south, the second piece—“ Whirled Into Hap pincss”—will be produced. The groat English contralto, Dame Clara Butt, who is accompanied by her husl-and. Mr. Konnerly Rumford, and Aldlle. Aussenac, solo pianist, will commence a tour of Now Zealand at Auckland on January 20.
