PUBLICITY FOR NEW ZEALAND
WIRELESS EMPLOYED Writing from London, Mr. Walter Fuller, late of Wellington, says in a letter dated December 1: —“I would be verv glad if you would make known through the press my appreciation of the splendid work Sir James Allen is doing in advertising New Zealand per medium of wireless broadcasting. Last Friday evening at my home, whilst at dinner, I heard a most enlightening address given by Sir James himself. No attempt was made to say anything highly coloured about our country. What he said was spoken in plain language, and as I believe the radio reaches about a million listeners, you may imagine what a splendid adver tisement New Zealand is getting. After Sir James Allen had spoken, a further address was given by Mr. Butler, telling of his early struggles and of the chances there are for hard workers in New Zealand. Last night I listened to another fine speech from a Mr. Forsyth. This will give some idea that the activities of the High Commissioner’s office are by no means dormant. The weather, after the late wintry spell, is now beautiful again. It was a real joy to be in London to-day.”
