HIGH COMMISSIONER DISSATISFIED
WITH PROGRESS OF NEGOTIATIONS
Damascus. December 28
A delegation of nobles was recently received at Beirut by M. de Jouvencl, Punch High Commissioner, who is dissatisfied with the progress of. negotiations. Apparently it lias hitherto been impossible to reach accord with regard to Svria making over the territorv annexed by Lebanon in 1920, ami also with regard to an amnesty to the reb"l leaders. The Druse delegation, headed bv the Emir Eminarslan, which recently visited Sueida to discuss the question of neace, apparently failed in its mission.—Reuter.
