THE PORT PIRIE. At present loading at Auckland, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Plrie will leyve there to-morrow evening for Timaru, Port Chalmers, and Wellington to complete her cargo for London. THE KENT. The New Zealand Shipping Co. report that the Kent arrived at Picton at ,3 p.m. on Suhdav from Wellington for loading. She is to' leave Picton on Sunday for Wanganui roadstead to proceed with her loading programme. PORT HUNTER DUE FRIDAY. The C. and D. Line report that the Port Hunter, now discharging London cargo at New Plymouth, will leave the Taranaki port on Thursday evening for Wellington, where she is due on Friday to continue discharge. The vessel will proceed from here to Napier to unload the rcAiainder. THE HERTFORD. The New Zealand Shipping Co. advise that the Hertford, at present loading at Port Chalmers, will leave there on January 7 for Lyttelton, in continuation of her itinerary. RADIO FROM lONIC. On Christmas Eve tlie Shaw, Savill. and Alliiop Co. received the following wireless message from their liner lonic, which left Wellington on December 20 for Southampton and London:—“Experienced strong ■westerly winds and fine weather. All well.”. MESOPOTAMIA FOR REPAIRS. An unexpected arrival at Wellington yest.er.day rooming was the Andrew Meir Co.'s chartered steamer Mesopotamia, which put in to the stream at 3.30 a.m. for boiler repairs, while en route from Calcutta and Newcastle to South Amerl? can ports. The vessel was granted pratique, and berthed short!' before 11 a.m, at Clyde Quay Wharf. The Mesopotamia shipped half a cargo of gunnies at Calcutta, and left there on November 17 for I Newcastle. At the latter_ port the ship fille.d up with coal and sailed from there at midnight on Monday of last week. Fine weather with variable moderate winds and seas prevailed across the Tasman. On Saturday epe of the vessel's b'.ilers developed trouble, and aiifcofigh it w as not of a serious nature it was deemed advisable to' put' in-jt'o Wellington for repairs. The repair work was put in hand yesterday by the Wellington Patent Slip Company, and it is anticipated that the voyage to Vaiparalso cap be resumed today. Captaiii E. Williams is master of the Mesopotamia. Iler officers and engineers are strangers to Wellington. The Mesopotamia was built in 1906 by Messrs.
