AN EMISSARY IN PARIS.

Captain Gordon Canning, a special correspondent of the London "Daily Express’ with Abd-cl Krini, lias airived in Paris in tlie hope of discussing Moroccan peace with M. Bnand, who refuses to meet Captain Canning, pointing out that neace must be jointly discussed with France and Spain. . Captain Canning states that Abd-el Kriin is ready to acknowledge the Sultan’s spiritual authority. If France and Spain will .grant autonomy anala,rous to that of T'emtnions lie is readv to recognise the principle of tlie open doer in Morocco, but demands the evacuation of Adiir. In return he will abandon his claim to Tehran. The Spaniards will thus have Melilla, Ceuta, Laraclie and the hinterland to the depth of twenty-five kilometres.
