THE SPEED OF THE LIMITED
IS IT EXCESSIVE? “The question of the speed of the Limited express is a frequent subject for discussion,” writes a correspondent, “and there is 110 doubt in the minds of many travellers that the speed is at times excessive. An experienced traveller timed the Limited to do 60 miles an hour over a portion of the journey near Marton. The dust nuisance on the Daylight Limited is no bogey. It is a real nuisance, the cause of much discomfort to the passengers.”
