CHURCH SERVICES

At St. John’s Church. Willis Street, Dr. Gibb will conduct both services to-morrow. In the evening the title of the, sermon is “The Right Stuff." Tho question is, ..who has the best claim,to be so described? The evening subject of the Rev. 8. Robertson Orr, at St. Andrew’s Church, will be, “Life’s Ups and. Downs.” 1 “Fruitlessness" is the morning theme at Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, tomorrow, In tho evening tho Rev. Clarence Eaton will deal with “The Temptation of Christ." The anthem sung will be “The Lord is Great in Zion” (Best), and the solo, “The Lord is My Light" (Allitsen), will be rendered by Mr. F. Charles. "Is Religion Made too Easy?” will be the Rev. F. E. Harry’s topic in the Vivian Street Baptist Church to-morrow evening. In the morning he will speak to the Young Worshippers’ League, and preach to adults on “The Love of God” (a second discourse). A meeting of the Men’s Society will follow the evening service. “The Voice in the Silence” will be the subject dealt with by the Rev. Ernest R. Weeks, at The Terrace Congregational Church to-tnorrow morning. The anthem will be, “O Lamb of God” (Gounod). In the evening the preacher will treat of “Sure Signs of the Sins of Society." Mr. Colin Trim will Sing “Lord God of Abraham” (Mendelssohn), and the anthem will he “The Heavens Proclaim Him” (Beethoven). A notice, “Leaving God Out,” appears in this issue. Rev. W. M. Holland, 8.A., 8.D.. will preach on “The Message to the Church at Laodicea," at the Congregational Church, Cambridge Terrace, at 7 p.m. There will also be a service at 11 a.m. The usual Maranathb notice appears in this issue bn page 3. At the Church of St. Alban (Liberal Catholic) 19 Marion Street, to-morrow, there will be a Holy Eucharist service nt 11 a.m., and a sermon on "The Meaning of Advent,” will be. preached. At the Sailors’’ Friend Society Institute, Whitmore Street, Mr, James Moore, misSioner, will take as his subject in the morning, “Labour." and in the evening. “New,. Every Bit." Miss J. Joseph will bo the soloist, and a song service will bo held at 8.30 p.m. _____
