Meteorological Office, Wellington, November 17, 4 p.m. Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds, varying to freshening northerlies, especially in and'southwards of Cook Strait. Expect milder temperatures, increasing cloudiness for a westerly disturbance likely to bring a general rainfall in the course of a day or two. Barometer falling everywhere in the meantime. D. C.
