The New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified that the Kartigl left Sydney (Cape Breton) on August 17 for Montreal to continue loading for New Zealand ports. THE DORSET TO LOAD.

The Federal Co. advise that the Dorset left Dunedin yesterday afternoon for New Plymouth to complete discharge and to commence loading for Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, and Avonmouth. The vessel is to leave Now Plymouth on September 29 to load also at Wanganui, Bluff, Lyttelton, and Wellington, and is due here on September 8. The Dorset will sail from Wellington on September 10 to fill up at Napier. Gisborne, and Auckland. She will sail finally from Auckland on September 25 for Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, and Avonmouth. ATHOLL DUE SUNDAY. Messrs. Gardiner and Blnnie, local agents for the steamer A'tholl, advise that the vessel, which is discharging Jarrah at Auckland from Banbury, is due at Wellington on .Sunday. THE WAIMANA. At present loading at. Wellington, the Shaw, Savin, and Albion Co.'s steamer Walmana will leave Wellington at .daybreak to-day for Napier, Waikokopu, Gisborne, and Auckland to pick up the remainder of her cargo. She will sail from Auckland on September 4 for New York, Boston, and London. KENT AT AUCKLAND. The Federal Co.’s steamer Kent arrived nt Auckland last evening from Liverpool. After putting out portion of her cargo at the northern port the vessel will come to Wellington, and is due here about next Wednesday. THE PORT DUNEDIN. The C. and D. Line report that their new motor-ship Port Dunedin will leave Lyttelton to-morrow for New Plymouth to complete discharge of her London cargo. The vessel, as previously announced, will load In Now Zealand for London. ARAWA DUE TO-DAY. The Shaw, Ssvlll, and Albion Co.’s liner Arawa Is dun at. Wellington this morning frotn Lyttelton to complete Homeward loading. THE LEITRIM. The Federal Co. advise that the Leitrim, with cargo from Liverpool, will leave Napier this evening for Wellington, where slu- is due to-morrow morning. The vessel will sail from Wellington on Friday of next week for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff to put out the remainder of her cargo. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. W. 11. Cadwallader has been appointed chief officer of the Kakapo vice Mr. F. R. Wayne. Mr. E. Sutherland has joined the Kurow as second officer, relieving Mr. S. A. The Canadian Britisher is to sail from Wellington at daybreak to-day for Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Turakina is to leave Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from London. The A. and A. Line steamer Romeo will leave Dunedin on Sunday for Bluff and Newcastle to complete discharge of her New York cargo. The A. and A. Line steamer Min sailed from Lyttelton yesterday afternoon for Dunedin and Sydney. Timber laden for Auckland and other New Zealand ports, the steamer Erviken (took her departure from Bunbury on Wednesday of last week. The Erviken lias on board 3,300.000 feet of timber, 189,000 feet ,’of which is for discharge at Auckland. She is due at Auckland August 28. Having completed disdia'rge of her New Zealand cargo from New York, the C. and D. Lino chartered- steamer Middleham Castle cleared the Wanganui bar at 0.15 a.m. yesterday, bound for Westport to bunker. She will leave 'Westport tomorrow for Pert Pirio to load concentrates. The Parera’s overhaul has been postponed. She will call at Wellington today for bunker coal and water on her way from Tokomaru Bay to Westport to load coal for Tokomaru Bay. On Sunday the Pakura is due at Wellington from Waikokopu in order to undergo annual overhaul. I The R.M.M.S. Aorangi, which is due at Sydney to-morrow morning, will leave on the return voyage on August 27. On her next trip from Auckland, the Wainui will call at Gisborne, hut not at Napier. There will be no sailing from Napier for Auckland this week. The R.M.S. Niagara is due at Vancouver to-morrow. She will sail next M eduesday for Auckland, where she is due on September 14. This morning the Waimea will be taken off the Patent Slip, where she has been cleaned and painted, and she will sail in the evening for Westport and Greymouth.
