The Coal Conference at Sydney has concluded. It arrived at a settlement of the disputes, the men agreeing to resume work in all the idle pits, and a coal tribunal is to be summoned to hear their claims. All the northern mines hafe resumed work.
The Oslo correspondent of the Central News says that Captain Amundsen’ is planning a new polar flight next summer to explore the unknown area between Spitzbergen and Alaska. The expedition will consist of the same members as the last. A new machine is being built at the Dorner Works, Italy,
