RHODES SCHOLARSHIP
VICTORIA COLLEGE NOMINEE Mr. Jules Omer John Malfroy, LL.M., is tlie nominee of Victoria University College for the Rhodes Scholaiship of 1925. Mr. Malfroy, who is 23 years of age, is best known to the public of Wellington as a Rugby, footballer. He has elso represented his college in athletics, in which department he is one of the best hurdlers in the province. The elder son of Mr. C. M. Malfroy, of the State Forest Service, Mr. Jules Malfroy was born at Hokitika, passod through primary schools and high schools in that town, and then went for four years to Waitaki Boys' High School, where he matriculated and became a protect. Passing on to Canterbury University College, he began the study of law, and two rears later came to Wellington. At Victoria College he gained his LL.B., being capped last year, and went on to study, successfully, for the Master of Laws degree. Mr. Malfroy, who is an executive officer ot several Victoria College institutions, is with the firm of Beil, Gully, Mackenzie, and O’Leary.
