A HUSBAND’S SUSPICION. AND A WIPE’S INGENUITY. They were dining at a well-known hotel. After 'he meal the wife produced from lier handbag a small piece of paper, in which she had wrapped some white powder. She mixed it . with water, and surreptitiously drank it off. Her husband’s curiosity—if not suspicion—was instantlv aroused. “What’s that stuff?” he asked. She smiled a superior smile. “Only Anti-Acido for mv indigestion, Mr. Curiosity.” The moral of the story—the incident actuallv occurred—is that the wife, who is a martvr to indigestion, finds AntiAcido so indispensable that she devised the above simple experiment for taking a dose when dining out.
