Mr. Maurice Moscovitcli, the Jewish dramatic actor, who is at present in Wellington, was, together witii Mrs. Moscovitcli, acc».<led a reception at the Jewish Women's Social Club ou Sunday evening. Mr. M. Mvers, K.C., president of the Wellington Jewish Social Club, who was in the chair, welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Moscovitcli on behalf of the Jewish community. Mr. Myers voiced tho pleasure felt by the Jews of "Wellington m welcoming amongst them one who bad inscribed his name on the roll of fame, and who sued lustre not only on his profession but on tho whole of Jewry. Miss L. Van Staveren, president of the Jewish "Women’s Club, and Dr. E. G. Joseph, on behalf of the Wellington Palestine League, added their welcome. Mr. Moscovitcli expressed the pleasure he felt on thus being welcomed. For a half hour Mr. Moscovitcli proceeded to interest those present with various anecdotes connected with his career.
