The Hou. Edward Newman, C.M.G., M.L.C., arrived in Wellington by the Auckland express vesterdav. Mr. E. C. Cutten. S.M., of Auckland, was a passenger to Wellington by the second Main 'Trunk express yesterday. An Auckland Association message reports the death of Mr. G. A. Buttle, aged 76, a prominent Auckland stockbroker. The Auckland musicians' dispute was before a Conciliation Council yesterday. The employees wanted a Dominion award, which' the employers opposed. The case was referred to the Arbitration Couth—Press Assn.
