CITIZENS’ INTERCESSORY SERVICE

» Increasing interest and appreciation of the citizens intercessory midday meeting in the Y.W.C.A. Lecture Hall, Boulcott Street, was manifested by the very fine attendance of citizens from every denomination. The meeting yesterday opened with a hymn, followed by prayer, Scripture reading by Mr. F. B. Mabin, and a ten minutes’ address from the Rev. W. Greenslade. The chairman, Mr. C. M. Luke, left open the last half of the meeting for prayer, closing at 1.30 p.m. with the Benediction and the National Anthem. Friends attending this inspiring service each Friday are reminded that they are quite free to quietly enter or leave when they please.
