FRENCH MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
SEVERE SET-BACK FOR * COMMUNISTS TWO PEOPLE SHOT AT POLLING STATION Paris, May 4. The final results of the municipal elections are hardly expected by tonight; but the fact emerges that the Left groups have gained advantages, while lhe Communists have been severely set back. Second polls will be necesasry in a number of cases. The only disturbing incident occurred in Corsica, where' shots were fired inside a- polling station, and two people were killed and three were injured. No change has so far resulted in Paris.—Reuter.
