Owing to infantile paralysis, the Wairarapa Rifle Association postponed the Papawai meeting, but it has now decided to hold the meeting on April 18, 20, and 2L TARANAKI MEETING. By Telegraph-—Press Association. New Plymouth, .March 24. The embargo on the Taranaki rifle shooting meeting has been removed by the Health Department, and the gathering will tie held on Easter Saturday and Easter Mnndnv UPPER HUTT CLUB. On Saturday last the Upper Hutt Defence Rills Club fired the annual musketry competition for classification under service conditions. The conditions of the various practices were as follow: —First, 5 shots grouping at 100 yds.; second, 5 shots application at 200 yds.; third, 10 shots rapid at 200yds.; fourth, 5 shots snap-shooting at 200 yds.; fifth, 5 shots application at 500yds.
