WELLINGTON FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL EEPORT. The annual report and balance-sheet of 4he Wellington Football Association, to be presented at the annual Yneeting on Wednesday next, is to hand. It is stated that 919 Saturday matches were played during the season, macle up of 11 representative, 74.8 championship, 137 cup, 14 Scouts, and 9 Cadet matches. The thanks of the association are accorded to the City Council for the use of plajing areas, to Mr. J. R. MacKenzie, director of reserves, to the Lower Hutt Borough Council, to the coaches of various teams, to the members of the Referees' Association, to the members of St. John Ambulance Association, to the patron, president, and vice-presidents, and to the Press. The likelihood of Gear Island being available for games in the near future is referred to as very gratifying. Deep sympathy is extended to the relatives of the late J. W. Butler and T. Shields. The hope is expressed that the New Zealand Council will use their utmost endeavours to have the visit of the English team extended to the Dominion. The assets are given as .£lO6l 9s. 6d. and the liabilities .£134 19s. 7d., and .£3B IGs. 6d. insurance fund in hand. The receipts for the year totalled £645 Os. 9d., and the expenses £646 9s. lid.
