A debtor being examined in the Alarlborough Alagistrate’s Court as to bis means, mentioned (says the “Express”) that his wife had a half interest In a pig and a half interest in a cow. Air. A. E. L. Scantlebury, who appeared for the creditor, vainly tried to get on the track of some more liquid assets, but was faced only bv the interest in the live stock referred to. "Well,”, he remarked finally, “you own half a pig and half a cow. It’s a pity we can’t tell which half is yours, so that we could distrain on it!”
