NTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at T ’ a Special Meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council, held on Thursday, March 12, 1925, the following resolution was passed:— The Eastbourne Borough Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and its amendments, and particularly in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 355 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Public Works Act, 1908, and its Amendments, and particularly the Public Works Amendment Act, 1924, and Regulations thereunder, and in pursuance and exercise of every other authority or power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes by Special Order the following By-law: — The Short Title of this By-law is "The Eastbourne Borough Heavy Traffic Bylaw, 1925." The object and purport of the By-law are :— 1. To define heavy traffic. 2. To provide for the licensing by the We'lington City Council of vehicles engaged in heavy traffic on any street within the Borough of Eastbourne and tho license fees to be paid in respect of various classes of vehicles. 3. To provide that every license so issued sha'J extend io and be available within the districts of the Wellington City Council, the 1 Petone Borough Council. Lower Hutt Borough Council. Eastbourne Borough Council, Johnsonville Town Board. Upper Hutt Town Board, Hutt County Council, and Makara County Council. 4. Tn. provide that the Wellington City Council shall collect all license fees and to provide the method of distribution of such fees amono-st the said local authorities. 5. To . regulate and control generally vehicles engaged in heavy traffic on any street within the Borough of Eastbourne. 6.
