The Union C-.o’s Marama arrived In the stream at 3.35 p.m. yesterday from Sydney direct. The vessel berthed at the Glasgow Wharf at 4.50 p.m. The Marama was to leave the Sydney wharf at 10 a.m., but eight of her firemen failed to come aboard In time. At 10.15 a.m. the Marama was moved out to the stream by tugs to await the firemen. The missing men eventually put in an appearance, and were taken to the ship by a tender, and the Marama sailed fur Wellington at 4 p.m. Prior to the vessel leaving the wharf one of the firemen fell on the steps leading to the engine-room, and severely cut. his heed. He wes, however, able to proceed ,

on the vessel. Fin# weather prevailed crossing the Tasman Sea, with light easterly winds and moderate seas. Misty conditions were experienced in Cook Strait. The Marama's cargo includes transhipments ex Changsha, Ormonde, Hiniayla •>Maru, Esperance Bay, Bannabool, Holliman, Wyandra, and Maloja. The Marama is to leave Wellington at noon to-day on the return trip to Sydney.

THE HURUNUI. The New Zealand Shipping Co. advise that the Hurunul left Lyttelton at 5 p.m. on Thursday for Tokomaru Bay, Napier, and Wellington to complete loading. The vessel is due here on March 30, and will anil finally from this port on April 5 for London, via Panama. THE MAIMOA'S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savlll, and Albion Co. announce a slight alteration In the movements of the Maimoa. At present loading at Napier, the vessel will not leave there until Tuesday for Gisborne, Hicks Bay, Auckland, Nelson, and Lyttelton. She will leave Lyttelton on April 10 for London and Hamburg, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. THE SOMERSET. The New Zealand Shipping Co. report that the Somerset will now leave Bluff on Monday for Port Chalmers to complete loading. She Is fixed to sail finally from , 9 P ta fi° P ort on Thursday for London, via Panama and Curacao. MATATUA LEAVES MONTEVIDEO. Cable news has been received by the Shaw, Savlll, and Albion Co. that the Matatua left Montevideo last Wednesday for London, en route from Bluff. The vessel left Bluff on February 24. REMUERA’S ITINERARY. The New Zealand Shipping Co. advise that the Remuera, at present at Lyttelton, will leave there on Tuesday for Napier and Wellington to complete loading for London. The vessel Is due at Wellington on March 30, and will sail from here on April 4 for Southampton and London, via Pitcairn Island, Panama, and Curacao THE CORNWALL. The Federal Co. advise that the Cornwall is du£ at Wellington to-morrow from Napier to continue loading for West Coast ports of Great Britain and London. She will leave here next Friday for Wanganui roadstead and Lyttelton to fill up. WILLASTON LEAVES PANAMA. News by cable has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Co. that the steamer Willaston arrived at Colon on March 17 from Louisburg, St. John, and New York, and left Panama on the same date for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is dne at Auckland on April 14, and at Wellington a week later, THE HORORATA. The Federal Co. advise that the Hororata which arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday from Lyttelton to complete discharge, will subsequently proceed to load at Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, Auckland. She will leave Auckland on April 22 for Boston, New York, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, and Avonmouth. THE LEISE MAERSK. The New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified by cablegram that the steamer Leise Maersk left Louisburg on March 17 for St. John to continue loading for New Zealand. THE CITY OK' WINCHESTER. The Shaw, Savlll, and Albion Co.’s chartered steamer City of Winchester, which arrived In the stream on Thursday evening, berthed yesterday morning at the Glasgow Wharf to commence loading for London. The vessel lel't East London on February 25, and experienced tine weather with following winds and seas until arrival. Captain A. S. Rcay has the following officers:—Chief, Mr. Scrymgeour; second, Mr. Kcay; third, Mr. Boyle; chief engineer, Mr. MacFarquhar; apprentices, Messrs. Gregory and Nibbs. The vessel has a Lascar crew. The ship will leave Wellington on Tuesday for Oamaru and other ports for further loading. OMBILIN LEAVES BUNBURY. Millar's West Australian Hardwoods Company have received cable news that the steamer Ombllln left Bunbury on Saturday last with a cargo of sawn timber and sleepers for discharge at Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The vessel, which is coming direct to Lyttelton, is due there about next Saturday, and at Wellington about April 14. TURAKINA TO LOAD. At present discharging at Auckland, the New Zealand Shipping Col's steamer Turaklna will, leave, there on Saturday, next for loading at Opua, Bluff, Port Chalmers, Tlnufru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She Is due at Wellington on April 20, and will sail finally from this port on April 22 for London, via Panama and Curacao. CARGO FOR AMERICA. It Is announced by advertisement that the Mamari will load general cargo for New York and Boston at Wellington from about April 8 to April 15. She will sail finally from Auckland about April 29. INTERCOLON IAL STEAMERS.

The next steamer due at Wellington from Sydney Is the Maheno, which was to leave the Australian port yesterday, and is expected to arrive here on Tuesday. The Manuka left Sydney at 1 p.m. on Thursday for Wellington, via Bluff, Dunedin, and Lyttelton. The vessel is due at Bluff on Monday, and at Wellington on Thursday. She will leave on Friday for Melbourne.

TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICES. The latest movements of the Union Co.'s ships engaged in the trans-Paclfic cargo services are announced as follow:— The Wairuna left Newcastle on Wednesday for Honioulu and Vancouver. She will load at Pacific Coast ports during April for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Walhemo also left Newcastle on Wednesday for Vancouver and San Francisco to load during April for Papeete, Napier, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.

The Waiotapu' was to leave Melbourne yesterday for Sydney and Newcastle to complete discharge. She is expected to clear Newcastle uext week for Vancouver, via Fanning Island. She will load at Pacific Coast ports during late April and early May for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Willaston will load at Pacific Coast ports during June for New Zealand ports. The llauraki left San Francisco on Wednesday for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Newcastle. Thm vessel is due at Auckland on April 10.

MISCELLANEOUS. The Union Co. advise that the Aorangl left Suva at 3 p.m. yesterday for Honolulu and Vancouver. The Mskura, from Vancouver, left Honolulu at 6 p.m. on 'Wednesday for Suva and Auckland. The Kaimal is expected to leave Westport to-day, and is due at Wellington tomorrow. The Kaikorai is to leave Auckland today for Newcastle, where she will load for Lyttelton. The Kulranga Is due nt Newcastle tomorrow from Wellington. From Newcastle she will go io Port Stephen to load timber for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton. On Monday the Katoa, which has on board cement from Portland, is expected to clear New Plymouth for Wellington and Lyttelton. The Ngakuta should leave Greymouth on Tuesday for Wellington. On Monday the Waitomo is to leave Sydney for Newcastle to load for New Zealand ports. The Canadian Challenger left Dunedin vesterdap evening for Bluff. She will leave Bluff on Monday evening for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland, enroute to New York, Boston, and Montreal. The Matakana left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin to unload the remainder of her Liverpool cargo. \ The C. and D. Line steamer Port Sydney will leave the Wanganui roadstead late to-night for Gisborne. The Arawa will now not get away from Wellington until daybreak to-morrow for Dunedin to complete discharge. The Tasmania arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from Wellington to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo. The Keht will sail from Dunedin at noon to-day for New Plymouth to put out the remainder of her cargo from London. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Denison left Gisborne at 2.30 p.m. yesterday for Auckland to pick up the remainder of her cargo for New York, Boston, and London.
