'MONSIEUR BEAUCAIRE.” fFHIS is a picture of crinolines, curls, -*• curtsies, wigs, wags, and wits. Rudolph plays the part of a prince who becomes a barber in order to prove that he is a man, and there is no faster vehicle than a sedan chair and a pair-horse coach in the whole 9932 ft. of it. Plenty of spirit, mind you, and the way Valentino "picks up” would do credit to the liveliest car that ever ran on Big Tree—but the "effects" man in the orchestra won’t have to work his Klaxon anywhei-e in the piece. You’ll remember having seen Lois Wilson before—in "The Thundering Herd." That was a great picture. The author thought of the title after hearing twenty cars pass his houseall running oh an oil that wasn’t Big Tree. "Thundering" just about described it. It is wonderful how Valentino has climbed to the top of the tree, especially when you consider what a BIG TREE it is, isn’t it? Of course, he’s got the right spirit; and it is an easy matter to climb when you’ve got the right spirit. You get more power. However . . If the hapdsome and gallant Beaucaire Had said ’to Beau Nash, "I declare—'Twould fill mo with glee To climb on Big Tree As long as Miss Daniels was there. Beau Nash would have said, "Have a ’ care, Big Tree’d cause a swift love affair. You’d get such H.P. If you ran on Big Tree The Censor would cut, stop and glare!” X RETURN SEASON.
