BRITISH REGULATIONS REQUIREMENTS TO BE MODIFIED London, March 19. The Health Ministry states that It is modifying its requirements as to preservatives in the final draft of the new regulations, which is the tenth, excluding from them “neutralisers” like bicarbonate of soda when used before pasteurising cream. The regulations, therefore, will not affect 60 per cent, of the Australian and New Zealand butter exports. There is still some doubt, however, regarding the use of boric acid. Traders disagree on this matter, some contending, that the prohibition -will enable Australia and New- Zealand to more effectively compete with Siberian and Argentine butter.—Sydney “Sun” Cabe.l
