The Secretary of State for the Colonies, Mr. L. Amery, who is expected to visit New Zealand and Australia during the autumn recess of the Imperial Parliament. This will be the first time that the head of the Colonial Office has undertaken such a distant mission, but Mr. Amery is understood to hold that a personal discussion with the Governments of the Dominions will be profitable and avert protracted conversations by means of cablegrams.
