Besides the three passengers we carried: Two hundred-weight of Advertising matter, Personal luggage, Camping outfit (tent, etc.,) Full equipment Tools, Axe and Chains, Spare Case Benzine, Gallon Tin Oil. . ( Our route was Wellington to Waipukurau—Napier—Taupo—Rotorua—Te Kuiti—via Mokau River and Mt. Messenger—Eltham—Wanganui—Palmerston North and back to Wellington, , the trip taking eight days and covering one thousand miles on an average petrol consumption's • P •' approximately 26 miles per gallon for the whole run. : 11.
