CIVIL SERVICE v. COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS. Yesterday afternoon four rinks from the Commercial Travellers’ Club tried conclusions with rinks from the Civs! Service Club on the Wellington Club’s green, and a most enjoyable time was experienced. Churchward, on behalf of the commercial men, thanked Mr. Brmsden, president of the Wellington Club for the use of the gieen, and expressed the pleasure they had all experienced at the function. Mr. 11. Wright (president of the C.T. Club), Mr. H. Macintosh, and Mr. W. R. Thompson (for the Civil Service) thanked their opponents for the pleasure given, and cheers were exchanged. WEST COAST TOURNAMENT CHA MI’IONSniP WINNERS. By Telegiui’h.—Press Association. Hokitika, February 12. The West Coast Bowling Tournament, which bus been in progress.for the past four davs. concluded this morning. Twenty-five rinks took part in the pairs championship, which was won by Rose and Harrison (Westport), Taylor and Popo (Lyttelton) bein" the runners-up. The rinks championship was won by Oakev (St. Albans), who beat Stevenson (Hokitika) by 19 to H. Perfect weather prevailed throughout, and the green was very fast.
