4 MARRIED WOMAN CHARGED. By Telegraph.—Press AssociationDunedin, February 12. A smartly-dressed young woman, whose name meanwhile is suppressed, was charged in the Magistrate s Court under an Australian warrant, with unlawfully receiving £lOOO at Sydney on terms requiring her to accouht for the same, and with fraudulently omitting to do so. The police applied for a remand pending the arrival of an escort. . , Counsel for accused said she had lived in Dunedin all her life, except for a short visit to Australia. She was a married woman with two children, and was not charged with theft, but the question was -whether or not the moneys were received on trust. The woman was remanded for a week. Bail in £2OO was allowed.
