£350,000 CLAIM AGAINST THE STATE
PURCHASE OF SOUTH ISLAND , MAORI LANDS. Br Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch; November 28. Several hundred Maoris will assemble at Kaiapoi during the next few weeks in connection with the hearing by the Native Land Court of the famous Ngaitahu claim for £350,000 against the State as the result of the purchase of South Island lands from the Maoris. The case opens on January 19.
