SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIET

The Sailors’ Friend Society Institute looked gay with flags and flowers on the occasion of Miss E. Boyce’s concert to seafarers on Thursday, when the programme was thoroughly enjoyed and encores demanded. The performers were Misses Eileen Boyce, Owen, Power, and Messrs. Brady, Vernon, Oswin, T- Forrester, Wilmore, East, Jones, Haggerty, and Master George Porter. Miss Eileen Boyce was at the piano. Competitions filled a happy place in the programme and aroused much interest. The prizes were donated by Mrs. Boyce and a Hill Street well-wisher. They went to the Cumberland and the Mahana.
