Notice is hereby given that in. pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1920, the Local Bodies Loans Act 1913, and the Main, Highways Act, 1922, and all and any other powers enabling it, the Hutt County Council proposes to raise a. special loan of £45,000 for the following purposes, that is to say, (1) To ' provide tho Council’s contribution under the Main Highways Act, 1922, towards the construction or reco.nstruction of th* Alain Highways in the County of Hutt. (2) To provide the Council’s contribution, under the Wellington City and Suburban Highways Construction and Hutt Road Amendment Act, 1924, towards the widening of the Day’s Bay Road, being a Main Road in the County of Hutt. (3) To provide the necessary plant and machinery for carrying out tho said works.
