WAIHEMO FROM NEWCASTLE. Shortly before 3 p.m. yesterday the Union Co.’s cargo steamer Waihemo arrived in the stream from Newcastle. The vessel berthed at the Railway Wharf at 4.30 p.m. The Waihemo sailed from Sydney at 5 a.m. 'on Sunday, and had an uneventful trip. The ship brought 7400 tons of coal, 600 tons of telegraph poles, and 50 tons of tar for discharge at Wellington. The Waihemo is to leave here about the end of next week for Newcastle to load again for New Zealand. THE ORARI. The Federal Co. advise that the Orarl will sail from Auckland at daybreak today for New Y’ork, Boston, London, and West Coast ports of Great Britain. ■ MAKURA LEAVES SUVA. The Union Co. have received advice that the R.M.S. Makura sailed from Suva at 4 p.m. yesterday for Honolulu and Vancouver, en route from Sydney and Auckland. THE TAINUI. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co.'s liner Tainul arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from Dunedin. She Is to leave there this afternoon for Napier and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on Thursday, and will sail from here on December 9 for Southampton and London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. TREKIEVE LEAVES MONTREAL. Cable news has been received by tho New Zealand Shipping Co. that the Trekieve left Montreal on November 26 for Newport News, en route to New Zealand ports. RIMUTAKA DUE WEDNESDAY. The Federal Co. report that the Rimutaka, at present discharging Liverpool cargo at Auckland, will leave there on Monday evening for Wellington, where she is due next Wednesday. Line, have been notified that the new liner Cathay, which was scheduled to leave Sydney on April 21 for London, will uow not sail until May 20. CUMBERLAND TO LOAD. The liner Cumberland is to leave Wellington this afternoon for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to complete discharge. The vessel will subsequently load, under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Co., at Wfinganui, Auckland, Gisborne, and Wellington. She is due back here on December 27, and will sail on December 31 for London, via Panama and Curacao. MISCELLANEOUS. Messrs. Johnston and Co. advise that the Parera is due at Wellington on Tuesday from Napier, Akltlo, Castlepoint, ,and Mataikona. Cargo will be received at Wellington only on Tuesday for the vessel, which is to leave here in the evening for Akltio, Castlepolut, Napier, and Auckland. The Turakina arrived at Napier at C a.m. yesterday from Gisborne, and will leave there on Tuesday for London.
