SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Tuesday’s concert at tho Sailors’ Friend Society was very thoroughly enjoyed by tho seafaring guests of Miss JI. Hotmail. The perfonners were Misses Harbrqw, Nicholls, Garnham, Golding, nnd Messrs. Edmunds, Crowley, Ross, Hawes, P. Wheeler, Haggerty, White. Misses Nicholls and Golding were at tho piano. A cheery welcome was given to the family of Mr. Wheeler (a worker), which had recently reached New Zealand by the Ruahir.e. Tho institute looked gay with flowers and Hags. Interesting speeches were made by Messrs.. Moore, missioner, If. Colpus, and If. T. Johns, who wished Mrs. Whe.-ler and her family every blessing in their new sphere. Hospitality was partaken of at tho hands of tho workers.
