OF CONSTITUTIONAL POSITION AFTER CRITICISING PROHIBITION Adelaide, August 13. # Speaking at the Licensed Victuallers Association’s annual dinner last week, tho Governor, Sir . George Bridges, in the course of a speech, is reported to have said: “I think wo all distrust tho camouflage and. corruption ot prohibition. It is foreign to our nature, although it does give us a laugh now and then.” He referred in humorous vein to tho age-long controversy as to whether wino or water is the better beverage. „ , , . ~ 'L’ho matter was referred to in the Assembly, Mr. Price asking tho Premier whether he had anything to report regarding Sir George Bridges s speech.
