6 FIRPO-WILLS CONTRACT SIGNED. (Rec. July 23, 8.5 p.m.) New York, July 22. Firpo lias signed a contract with Tex Rickard to fight Wills. The dato will he decided on Wednesday. The contract stipulates that Firpo will fight for no other promoter before meeting Wills.— Reuter. DISPUTE OVER DUNEDIN GROUND FOR ENGLISH MATCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, July 23. In reference to tho Rugby League securing the lease of Fprburv Park on August 9 for the Test match with the English team, at the instigation of the Rugby Union a lawyer’s letter has been dispatched to the Forbury Park Trotting Club, intimating that the chib’s concurrence in the proposal is an infringement of the union’s lease of Forbury Park, and will bo resisted.
