CLAIMED BY DE VALERA NOT BOUND TO “BOW KNEE TO FOREIGN POWER” London, July 22. Addressing his followers at the Dublin Mansion House, welcoming him back, after his release. Mr. de Valera said he had. been defeated militarily, hut bad gained a political victory which left the nation free. No agreements bound them to bow the knee to a foreign power. He exhorted tbn m t n love one another in Ireland like little children. There was no glory in civil war. Mr. Austen Stack prophesied that the next election would be for thirtytwo, not twenty-six, counties.—Reuter.
