SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
Miss E. Boyce was hostess at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday, when she presented a programme that at once met the tastes of her guests, who loudly encored the items: —The performers were Misses E. Boyce, M. Crow, E. Passau, Owen, Appleby, and Messrs. Crow, V. Oswin, Dykes, and Smith. Misses Boyce, Crow, and Passau were at the piano. "Damaged” was tho title of Mr. James Moore’s temperance address, and again pledges were added to the society’s books. The competition prizes camo from Mrs. Boyce, and went to Waimana find Tredinnick. Cheers closed a happy evening.
