OLYMPIC MATCHES. (Rec. June 3, 11.5 p.m.) Paris, June 2. In the Olympic Association football contests, in the third round Switzerland beat Italy, 2 goals to 1- Holland beat Ireland, 2 goals to I.—Reuter. CHATHAM CUP REPLAY POSTPONED. The replay in the Chatham Cup contest arranged for yesterday morning, between Y.M.C.A. and Marist teams, did not eventuate on account of the bad. weather. Two matches, South Wellington v. Palmerston North R.S.A., and Brooklyn v. Foxton, were .played at Association Park, amid a driving southerly gale, drenching rain, and sleet and mud. The Foxton team came down by road and did not reach Wellington until 2 a.m. yesterday. Brooklyn won by five goals to nil after a strenuous game, which Mr. R. Weir refereed. CANTERBURY BEAT SOUTH CANTERBURY. (by Telegraph.—press association.) Christchurch, June 3. In an Association football match, Canterbury beat South Canterbury by two goals to one. AUCKLAND CLUB GAMES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, June 3. Association football matches postponed from recent Saturdays were played to-day. Results: — Harbour Board beat Ponsonby, 4 to 3; Northcote beat Thistle, 3 to 2; North Shore beat Watersiders, 3 to 0; Y.M.C.A. beat Londoners, 4 to 0; Philomel beat Metropolitan, 3 to 2; Hellabys drew with Tramways, 1 all.
