AUSTRALIA’S GOAL

CORDIAL MESSAGE FROM AMERICA New York. May 12. President Coolidge gave Mr. W. M. Hughes the following message to Australia“ The American people are watching with great interest Australia s progress. The resolute and effective manner in which the Australians have bent themselves to the task of developing the resources of their great country has particularly appealed to Americans. They see in the. Commonwealth a community similarly circumstanced to themselves, treading the same path, holding the same ideals and concepts of civilisation, and steadily advancing to the same goal of peace and welfare of mankind. The American people send the people of Australia greetings of cordial friendship and goodwill. —Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
