CATHOLIC PRIEST’S DEATH

By Telegraph—Press Association. Core, May 13. The Riversdale Catholic Presbytery was destroyed by fire early this morning. The Rev. Father Daniel O’Neill, aged 40 years, perished in the flames, hiis remains being discovered afterwards.. The housekeeper had a narrow escape. Father O’Neill was popular and well-known in Otago and Southland. He had served in Roxburgh and South Dunedin (where his brothers are living) and Gore. . The origin of the blaze is a mystery.
