HELP FOR DEBT EXTINCTION FUND (BY TELEGBAPH.-PRESB ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, May 13. Mr. Massey states that he has received from the shipbreakers who purchased the battle-cruiser New Zealand a cheque for £20,000. The money is to be handed over to the British Government as a contribution towards the debt extinction fund and in connection with the repayment of the cost of the gift battleship. The term of the fund has about five or six years to run.
