SENTENCED FOR BIGAMY

In the Supreme Court to-day Bertie Holdsworth was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, trie sentences to be concurrent, on charges of bigamy, making a false declaration, and committing forgery. The prisoner appeared for sentence last week, when His Honour said the ease was not one for probation, but deterred passing sentence to give prisoner an opportunity of marrying the woman If tho parties married he would take, a different view of the case in passing sentence. Counsel for prisoner to-day. handed His Honour the marriage certificate of prisoner and tlie womun, and sentence was passed as stated.
