DEFEAT OF KIYOURA GOVERNMENT

IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION EXPECTED

(Rec. May 12, 10.55 p.m.) Tokio, May 11

Official returns from the provincial districts continue to indicate the growing of .the Kenseikai strength. The Kenseikai leaders now claim that they will have a majority of seats in the Diet, and the present indications confirm their claims. This result was unforeseen and is considered to certainly doom the Kiyoura Government to immediate resignation, since it could only expect support from the Seiyukai and the Seiyo Honto, and both these parties appear 1© bo falling behind. —Aus.-N.Z.
