MAUNGANUI DELAYED

NOW DUE FROM ’FRISCO THIS MORNING

A heavy southerly gale having delayed the arrival of the Union Company’s R.M.S. Maunganui at Wellington from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, the vessel did not reach Wellington until 9 o’clock last night. When she is granted pratique the Maunganui will come alongside No. 16 Queen’s Wharf soon after 9 o’clock this morning. The vessel has passengers and cargo to land here, and she is now timed to leave her berth at 5 p.m. tomorrow in continuation of her voyage to Sydney.
