ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of P ar ’ shl ° r St. Thomas’s Anglican Church, Wellington South was held on Tuesdayeieniiig. There was a record attendance. The vicar (Rev. W. Fancourt) presided. The vicar briefly outlined the woik of the year, and on his motion a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to all chuieh workers. He sni<J he expected to be leaving the parish at the end of June. Aftei twelve happy years he would find it hard, to leave. His new parish was All Saints’, Palmerston North. It was announced that lhe Bev. C. v. Booke, of Hunterville, was appointed .as the new vicar. During the year there had been 23 funerals, 87 baptisms, 2.» marriages, 27 confirmed, and 328 communicants for last Easter (a record). Officers for the year were elected as follow: —Vicar’s warden, Dr. J. B. Kemp; people’s warden, Mr. J. W. Salmon; vestrv. Messrs. F. J. Ballinger, B. 8011, A. T. Burnette. W. F. Christie, C- Conwav. B. F. Drummond. M. G. Grenside. J. Harmer, A. Priddle, am’ W- B. Tiirvcy Mess’s. I l '. Hall end G. G. Schwartz wore reappointed audi - tors. At the conclusion of tho evening’s business, eupper was handed round by lady members of the congregation.
