CAPTAIN BADLY BURNED By Telegraph—l’ress Association. Auckland, April 30. Details of the loss of the scow Onerahi, which was destroyed by fire in the Bay of Plenty, show that Captain J. Brown was filling tho benzine tank in the engine-room when flames burst out, spreading so rapidly that the crew had to take to the dinghy immediately. They had only one oar and sculled a mile ‘and a half to the shore. The captain was badly burned on the hands, arms, and feet, but the two A.B.’s were unhurt.
