SHIPPING DISASTER
200 KOREAN STUDENTS DROWNED WHEN VISITING JAPANESE WARSHIPS (Rec. April 27, 11.5 p.m.) Tokio, April 26. Two hundred Korean students were drowned off the west coast of Korea, near Chainnampo, when a steamship taking them on a visit to Japanese destroyers collided with a warship and capsized. The steamer sank quickly, only a small number of students being rescued. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. JAPANESE STEAMER AGROUND (Rec. April 28, 1.5 a.m.) Tokio, April 26. The Java Main is reported to be aground at Minasejima, in the Inland Sea. Two destroyers have been despatched to tho rescue. —Reuter.
