4 WELLINGTON TEAM TO MEET THE NAVY. The following- players were selected last night to represent Wellington in the match against a team from the Special Service Squadron on Saturday at the Basin Reserve: —Goal, J. Ewing (Thistle): backs, A. Gibb (Hospital), E. Tailor (Thistle): half-backs, L. McGirr (Y.M.C.A., D. Lennox (Thistle). W. Thomas (Marist); forwards, J. Smith (Institute), M. MeElligott (Marist), E. Stocks (South Wellington), G. Campbell Y.M.C.A.), C. Batlard (Y.M.C.A.). Reserves: Goal, Porteons (Waterside); back, J. Guest (Diamond); half-back, D. McKee (Diamond); forwards, J. .Gilbertson (Waterside), T. Lambert (Hospital). Given fine weather on Saturday afternoon an excellent exhibition of Association is anticipated. Benson, of H.M.S. Hood, who yvill probably captain the navy team, is said to be * brilliant exponent of the code.
