THE SYDNEY TRAGEDY
DATSON SUBJECT TO DELUSIONS. Sydney, April 22. In connection with the tragedy, it is stated that Daison’s mind had been somewhat unhinged after an assault which occurred when he was employed as a nightwatchman, and that he was subject to delusions. It is alleged that Datson accused Hawkins of taking his tobacco. It is expected that Datson will recover. When the posse of police arrived, Datson was on the balcony and fired at them. The police replied, and then rushed into the house and fired through the door of the room he was in before opening it. —Press Assn. DATSON TN CRITICAL CONDITION. (Rec.
