Mr -D. Strachan has disposed of his interest in the City Boot Stores Cuba Street, and has, in conjunction with Mr. T Norwood, purchased the business •of Jury and Co., Hawera, and will be leaving for that town at the end of the month.
The .attention of lovers of autumn flowers is directed to the advertisement flowers is directed to the forthcoming show of tho Hutt Valley Horticultural Society. Chrysanthemums and dahlias have this year done exceptionally well in tho valley" and the pick of these blooms will bo on exhibition at the show. In addition special attention is being paid this year to the home industries and vegetable classes, and these sections are expected to bo well filled with entries worthy of inspection. Intending exhibitors a'ro requested to make their entries early.
