Holland, M.P.. that the Railway Department should utilise, eoal from the Westport-Stockton mine, the Minister of Railways telegraphed that out of an order for 'l5OO tons of coal from that mine, only 200 tons had been supplied. Tho Conciliation Commissioner for the Wellington Industrial District (Mr. W. Newton) will shortly change bis quarters from Ghuznco Street to the Government Life Insurance building in Customhouse Quay. A camel carries the load of two oxen, and can do 40 miles a day, for a fortnight on end, with a load of 4001 b. They are fit to work at five years old. Music is more efficacious than medicine in the treatment of certain diseases, states a well-known lady doctor, who quotes old Italian records to show that music was used, to save patients from the results of viper and tarantula bites.
